Responsibilities/Expectations
- Assist with finding and review speaker applicant
- Establish guidelines for Speaker qualifications to teach for NSTP
- Meet quarterly through out year – outside of tax season
- Review consolidated evaluations of NSTP seminars
- Review Education topics needed or wanted by members
- Make recommendations for new seminar topics
- Monitor Education budgets to actual
- Periodically recommend and/or write articles for FTA and/or Tax Tid Bits
- Review NSTP website for freshness of Educational materials posted to website
- Review courses asked for by members and follow up with specific member to advise of avail materials/courses.
- Focus on member education needs with assistance of Executive members
- Help develop criteria to highlight NSTP Edu courses in marketing materials

Responsibilities/Expectations
- Work with Treasurer to compile and propose annual NSTP Budget to Board
- Review Financials periodically, no less than annually, and comment to Treasurer
- Actual to Budget review quarterly and prepare report to Board
- Review financial applicability of proposed NSTP projects prior to commencement
- Meet regularly, especially during budget season
- Especially with Exec Dir, Edu Dir, and Pres.
- Meet with Edu Dir and Exec Dir in January for FUP review and proper allocations within financials

- IRS Forums Committee
Responsibilities/Expectations
- Meet regularly commencing months before IRS Forums to strategize
- Strategize Marketing materials, hand outs, giveaway’s
- Consider volunteer personal to work the IRS exhibit hall Booth
- Assist with budget for IRS Forum
- Ensure personnel Culture in the Booth
- More personnel to access database while at IRS Forum
- Promote NSTP best to IRS Forum attendees
- Encourage 1 board member other than speakers at each Forum
- Spanish speaking person at every booth

- Membership Committee
Responsibilities/Expectations
- Build a membership team to help retain members
- Evaluate existing membership programs for effectiveness
- Review/monitor other organizations membership initiatives and see what could benefit NSTP.
- Review initiatives that make members feel connected
- Personal touches.
- Check the box on membership renewals to join committees.
- Encourage participation and education.
- While talking to members see what education they are planning on taking and encourage them to come to more courses and help build their network of colleagues.
- Inform members of NSTP value & benefits
- Regular meetings
- Monitor competition regularly
- Monitor freshness of NSTP website
- Coordinate efforts with IRS Forum Committee
- Review and recommend marketing efforts to increase membership and Education attendance

- Oversight of Board candidates process
- Qualify Board candidates for Membership voting
- May not run for Board while serving as committee member
- Interview candidates for NSTP Board of Directors
- Check references of Board candidates
- Secure and review Board applicants background checks
- Meetings during candidate qualification process
- Calendar of events for timely processing
