Keith Huebel, CPA

Keith E. Huebel, CPA joined NSTP July 1992 and was elected to NSTP’s Board of Directors commencing January 2010. Keith served as NSTP’s Treasurer from 2012-2015 and again in 2024, and Vice President from 2014 - 2015.  In 2016, Keith was unanimously elected by the Board to serve as President of the Board of Directors.  Earning the trust and confidence of the NSTP Board of Directors, Keith was re-elected as President of the Board in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2025 and 2026-2027.  He is the longest standing NSTP President since its inception in 1985.  This can be attributed to Keith’s dedication to NSTP as a leader, and his high level of integrity, vision, and professionalism.  For similar attributes, in 2002, NSTP presented Keith with the “Service Award” in recognition of his dedicated service to NSTP and the tax profession.  In 2011, he was presented with NSTP’s highest award, the Howard Longley Award for embodying the characteristics of leadership, vision, and dedication to the members of NSTP, and setting an example of ethical conduct and professionalism to be modeled by all. In 2024, the then current President of the Board awarded Keith with the NSTP President’s Award in recognition of years of support, dedication and loyalty to NSTP and support to the then current President of NSTP.    

Keith has filled a role as NSTP’s Board parliamentarian while President, ensuring all organizational bylaws, policies and procedures, Robert’s Rules and Washington State’s nonprofit organizations’ rules and regulations were followed by the Board.

Since 2000, Keith has represented NSTP and its members monthly at IRS headquarters in Washington, DC for the National Public Liaison meetings and earned the title of Director of Government Relations in 2010 when he joined the Board of Directors.    For decades, Keith has also represented and promoted NSTP at the National IRS Tax Forums. 

Keith is a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Baltimore, a Certified Public Accountant and managing member of Huebel & Associates CPAs, LLC in Maryland.  Business clients range from small to medium-sized non-profits, professional offices, contractors, retailers & manufacturers, to name a few.  Clients also range from simple to complex high-net-worth individuals.

 Keith is a family man and often spends time with his two married children and 5 grandchildren.  He often vacations at NSTP destination location conferences, either beforehand or afterwards, to explore and enjoy the area and activities.  He enjoys boating on the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries and playing a round of golf with friends and family.
