In collaboration with Fast Forward Academy LLC, we have partnered to bring you an in-depth self-study experience led by Nina Tross, MBA, EA. Participants will receive the student guide prepared by Fast Forward Academy. Nina Tross will conduct review sessions covering essential topics through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions aimed at enhancing your understanding and preparation for the exam.

This 6-hour AFTR Session provides a comprehensive review of the current provisions and recent changes to the tax code. Stay ahead of the curve in a competitive tax preparation environment with this session covering all of the essential developments impacting individual tax returns during the upcoming filing season. This course also includes a review of basic individual tax preparation information needed to prepare 2026 returns. Practices, procedures, and professional responsibility requirements mandated by Circular 230 are covered to equip the practitioner with the relevant information needed to complete a successful filing season.

Upon completion of this session, the reader will be able to:

  • Recognize the relevant changes affecting 2026 individual tax returns
  • Identify the applicable inflation adjustments and thresholds affecting 2026 individual tax returns
  • Distinguish potential sources of taxable income and deductible expenses
  • Identify the rules of professional responsibility applicable to preparers and preparer penalties

NSTP will provide session attendees Fast Forward Academy's AFTR Study Guide as well as instructions on accessing the Fast Forward Academy Learning Management System where online course material and the test site will be available both during and after the session. Fast Forward Academy will facilitate the exam through their online system. Upon registration in their learning management system, participants have until December 31, 2026, to pass the exam, which is required to fulfill course completion criteria.

  • Advance registration is encouraged. Payment must be received and confirmed prior to admission to guarantee your seat and the delivery of course material. 
  • Attendance is limited to paid registrants only. Out of consideration for all participants, guests and non-registered individuals may not attend seminar sessions and must leave before the program begins. If you require assistance getting to or from an NSTP course, seminar, or event, please contact the NSTP office in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made. 
Refunds, Transfers & Cancellations
  • Due to the proprietary nature of AFTR program materials and content, AFTR Study Session registrations are not eligible for refund, cancellation, or transfer once a registration confirmation has been issued.
