Albert Collado, EA

PLEASE OUTLINE THE SPECIFIC SKILLS YOU BRING OR CONTRIBUTIONS YOU HOPE TO MAKE TO THE NSTP BOARD.
With over 20 years of experience as a Tax Professional, I bring extensive knowledge of tax preparation, representation, and client advocacy to the organization. Fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, I have developed strong and lasting relationships within the Spanish-speaking Latino tax professional community.
I am eager to help bridge the gap that has historically limited our organization’s ability to attract and engage Spanish-speaking professionals. Through outreach, mentorship, and community engagement, I believe I can play a meaningful role in expanding our diversity and strengthening our professional network.
As a seasoned and committed member of this organization, I am ready and willing to contribute my experience, leadership, and passion to help take the organization to the next level. I look forward to supporting initiatives that will grow our membership, strengthen member engagement, and increase the organization’s visibility and impact within the tax professional community.
BRIEFLY DESCRIBE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS AND ASSOCIATIONS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
I am a board member at Alliance for Connecticut Charter Schools (ACCS), where I serve as treasurer.

I currently serve as a member at large at NSTP’s board. My current role has given me the opportunity to learn the organization’s main goals and objectives, while giving the board members the chance to witness my commitment and support of this organization.
PLEASE SHARE ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU FEEL IMPORTANT FOR CONSIDERATION OF YOUR APPLICATION TO SERVE AS AN NSTP BOARD MEMBER.
For many years, I have supported this organization in a variety of roles. First and foremost, I have been an active member who consistently promotes both the organization and the quality of our educational products. In addition, I have volunteered at the IRS Tax Forums and served as an Ambassador for NSTP, assisted with recruiting new members, served on the Diversity Committee, and currently serve as a Member at Large on the Board of Directors.
Transitioning from my current role as Member at Large to a Regular Board Member position is a natural next step. This transition would not require a greater time commitment than I already dedicate in my current capacity, but it would allow me to have a stronger impact on the organization’s decision-making process through the ability to vote.
