Every person who is in the business of preparing and filing income tax returns will encounter some type of Excise Tax. Federal Excise Tax consists of 60 or more different types of taxes imposed on various businesses at various levels in the tax world. There are numerous registration requirements and different types of forms e.g. Form 720 "Quarterly Federal Excise tax Return", Form 637 "Application for Registration (For Certain Excise Tax Activities), and Form 8849 "Claim for Refund of Excise Taxes".

This course will discuss common or general business reports that are required to be submitted regarding the various types of Federal Excise Tax.

If you desire to provide your client the best tax service in your practice then you want and need this course. It will provide you with a general overview of business Excise Taxes and who it might affect. It will allow you to be aware of a client's responsibility and potential liability in a particular area of their daily operation. It will also make you and your clients aware of potential credits or refunds that may be available.
