Competency Exam Update: Immediate Scores Available In March
So far, hundreds of tax preparers have taken the Registered Tax Return Preparer test the IRS launched in late November. Based on their test results, Prometric, the test vendor, expects to be able to provide same day test results to those taking the test beginning in March.
Prometric also has added additional test sites for the exam, bringing the current number of locations to take the test to 237 sites. Another 30 sites are expected to open in the next few weeks.
